I read the term for the very first time today, “typical tech industry mess,” abbreviated “TTIM.”

And I thought, boy, there are a LOT of those.

The writer, or “coiner of the phrase,” Dave Winer, is credited, at least by me, as one of the first bloggers and the co-inventor (along with MTV's Adam Curry) of the podcast.

He's a tech guy through and through and I read his daily emails/blog posts.

While I don't always agree with him, especially on politics and Tesla (LOL) (but who agrees with anybody 100 percent?), I do enjoy his writing and I learn something nearly every day from it.

So, this is a thank you to Dave Winer for doing what he does.

Oh, the reason he brought up typical tech industry mess was because of SOAP. Back when I was in tech, I remember SOAP as being this interop messaging protocol that was co-created by a bunch of (then) tech giants like Sun Microsystems, Oracle, and Microsoft, among others.
