It seems we've snapped out of our really cold spell and we're just cold now.

Paradoxically, when it was 12 degrees (the low) for a few days, there was no discernable road ice. I guess because there was no rain or snow.

NOW, however, the lows are in the high twenties and the roads are definitely ice in spots. It's a little unnerving taking a turn and feeling that stomach “WOO WOO” when your tires lose a bit of traction…

The furnace guys never came out. Glad it started working on its own. Apparently, the tech did call yesterday.

But he didn't call me. They transposed my area code and called somebody… somewhere else.

I called them this morning and they said, “Oh, we called you.” NOPE, no you didn't. That's when we figured it out – the person who answered my call read my phone number back…

Par for the course in this thing we call life.
