Look, if you know me, you know I'm a political guy. A politics and news JUNKIE. It's my drug.
But I don't want to make this personal blog a political soap box.
Today, though, I feel compelled to speak out about Israel and Gaza and US aid.
- Israel has avenged the terror attack Hamas undertook October 7, 2023. They've killed over 20,000 people and have weakened Hamas. I think it's “even” now (it's more than even, but let's just leave it there–enough is enough).
- Israel has murdered innocent civilians, whom they told to move south and who did move south, only to be shot like fish in a barrel. It's bullshit.
- The US should do everything in its power to stop Israel from continuing the bloodshed. This includes continuing persuasion and diplomacy. It also includes stopping supplying them with weapons.
- The US should continue to work with an international coalition to make sure the people of Gaza get the food, supplies, water, and power they need to survive.
That's it. It's simple. Give Israel an ultimatum: Stop the war or we stop giving you money and weapons. AND come to the table to create a viable solution with the Gazans/Palestinians to co-exist.
