In my last post, “Forgetting is the New Remembering,” I claimed one of my goals was to write here, RIGHT HERE, every day.
That was nearly a month ago.
A lot happened since then. So why the hell didn't I write every day?
I don't know.
But this is me trying to write–again–every day. To keep that brain pliable.
A couple thoughts:
- I'm news-weary. I fashion myself a news geek. I read a lot. But it's wearing me down. Lots of bad news. Worrisome news. Wars. Politics. Strife. Environment. With seemingly nobody really giving a shit. And I feel terrible because I'm moving in that direction (not giving a shit).
- AI is fun. The picture accompanying this blog post was made by OpenAI's DALL-E. Prompt: “create an image 16:9 that shows a frustrated man, maybe head on hand, furrowed brow.” Pretty good.
- Working on a few things. I want 2024 to be a year of focused energy. Not all spread around, frenetic BS that I do to myself all the time. Just a few simple projects that either bear fruit right away or can grow organically over time with very little energy expended on my part, aside from the initial set up.
- We're going to Washington DC this year. I've always wanted to go and see our nation's capital and all the historic monuments. Should be fun. And terribly expensive.
That's about it. I really will try to post something here every day. So stay tuned!
